A group of twenty professionals from the world of coffee traveled to Italy from all parts of the country to explore opportunities in the coffee market, get to know the leading roasted coffee companies and their experience in the sector to identify interesting insights into the market.
After the first stop in Milan, the professionals, including green coffee exporters, specialty coffee producers and producers’ associations from 17 different companies and entities, reached Trieste organizing a tour of the main city realities thanks to the support of the Trieste Coffee Association.
The main purpose of the Mission in Italy is precisely to get closer to the Italian coffee market, both for consumption habits and for the production part managed by Italian coffee roasters and companies.
The group was warmly welcomed at the Bazzara with an introductory hat from President Franco Bazzara who recalled how close the company has been to Colombia over the years. He himself was awarded the position of Cavaliere del Lavoro for the Caldas region, one of the most renowned for the cultivation of coffee, by the Governor Carlos Alberto Piedrahito Gutiérrez, of the Coffee Department of Caldas (Colombia).
The guests then received a message from Dora Maria Penaloza of Abc Net of Rome, a company that promotes commercial and cultural encounters between the countries of Central and South America and various European countries. In her letter, Penaloza recalled how strong the union between the Trieste company and her country of origin is. Anticipating Bazzara’s passion and attention to detail which would soon involve the entire group from Colombia.
The visit then continued with a tasting of the sought-after Dodicigrancru blend accompanied by an explanation by Marco Bazzara, Q-Grader and Academy Director of the Bazzara Academy, who was also able to explore all the business areas on which the company has developed over the course Some years.
There were many questions and curiosities from the public, in fact the guests said they were enthusiastic about this exchange that took place in an atmosphere of total sharing because, once again, it was agreed that coffee is truly a “lifestyle” that unites.
